Module 1: Introduction

In my introduction and welcome message, I told you a little bit about myself — what inspires me, my background, my interests, and goals. I would like all of us to join this discussion under the thread “our bios” and share a bit about ourselves — our interests, the field that we would like to work, things that we have achieved that we are proud of, our dreams and goals for the future and anything else that we may feel would interest others. Even though we do not see each other regularly, it is important that we feel that we are a part of a community.

Normally, you will have two discussion questions every week. Your answer to these discussion questions needs to be well-thought out and about 150 – 300 words. Your responses to ‘My Bio: Due, Sun 2/4’ is the first Discussion Question (DQ) for this week. Since this is the first week I am extending the DQ response time to Monday. Normally, you need to respond to DQs by Saturdays.

They are called discussion questions so that you can discuss, share your views on these discussion forums. So, in addition to your own response, please provide at least well thought out responses to at least 2 postings of your peers on each of these two questions. Instructions on how to respond to DQsare provided on the announcement page. For this week you have to respond to only one DQ and also to the online survey linked below.

The second submission for this week is an online quiz based on your syllabus. It will help you plan for this semester and be more successful. Please complete it by Sun, 2/4. This is worth 1 point.
