I found the company One Earth Designs most intriguing. One Earth Designs sells the SolSource which is a solar-powered cooker that can also produce heat, electricity, and purify water. CEO Scot Frank sells the SolSource to government agencies serving rural Western China, providing clean energy reduces indoor air pollution that kills 500,000 rural people yearly. I believe it’s ethical to use investor’s funds to promote this cause because the SolSource can save and enhance so many lives globally. This is an example of how profit and social responsibility can go hand in hand. Creating the technology that has the power to save lives and implementing it where it is needed.
